Forced Perspective

Description:
This lesson started out with drawing a little dot in the center of the paper. Then drawing four squares or rectangles on each side of the dot. Once all eight squares or rectangles were drawn we used rules to connect the corneres of the shapes to the dot. This gives the illustion of it coming off the page. Then we added different designs onto the top parts of the shapes. After that we used oil pastells for the color. We needed to use two colors that were similar to eachother to give it the illusion that the color is fading.

Extension Activity: If I were do add onto this activity I would have students add other shapes like triangles, pentagons, circles, etc. This could be made into a fun and detialed math lesson. The teacher could dispaly the porjects in the hallway or in the classroom to show off their math and art skills.
