The Seasons

Description: To start the lesson we talked about different seasons and what makes them different. After talking about the seasons we took one of the sheets of paper and drew two trees on it. Once we had the trees drawn we chose two of the four seasons. I chose fall and spring. I colored the trees to show the differnt season and added different characteristics to symobliz the season. For fall I chose red, orange, and brown leaves for the tree and added a pile of leaves, leaves falling from the tree, and pumkins. For spring I chose three shapes of green leaves for the tree and added a bunny, a sun, and flowers. Once all the coloring was done I cut my pictures into one inch strips. Then I gluedthem onto another sheet of paper and accordion folded it. This allows people to look at the pictue from different angles and reveal the two different seasons.

Extension Activity: An extension activity for this lesson would be to do this activity when the class is talking about weather and seasons. This helps students understand the differences between the seasons and  different types of weather. This would end up being a science and art activity.
